Privacy policy

Painfree U (hereafter «we», «us») is the data controller for personal information collected via painfreeu.ai, chat.painfreeu.ai and associated services. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and your rights.

Information we process

• Email address — if you join the waitlist or create a Running Coach account. Legal basis: consent.
• Usage data — anonymous session ID, pageviews, the body area you select, the pain level you self-report, and which techniques you complete. Legal basis: legitimate interest in product improvement.
• Technical data — anonymized IP address, browser type, device. Legal basis: security and legitimate interest.

What we do not store

We do not store health information beyond what you actively provide during a Pocket session (e.g. pain level and body area). We do not store first name, address or other directly identifying information unless you have sent it to us by email.

Third-party services

• Google Analytics (GA4) — anonymized traffic measurement.
• Cloudflare / hosting — website delivery and abuse protection.
• Supabase — database storage for Running Coach accounts (email + session log).
• Brevo — sending occasional newsletters (only to addresses that have opted in).

We do not sell personal data to third parties.

Retention

Anonymized usage data is retained for up to 24 months. Waitlist emails are deleted on unsubscribe or after 24 months of inactivity. Running Coach account data is deleted on request.

Your rights

You have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict processing, receive your data in a portable format, and withdraw consent. Send a request to [email protected] — we respond within 30 days.

Complaints

You may file a complaint with the Norwegian Data Protection Authority: datatilsynet.no.
